Employment and Income Characteristics

The average annual income for males in the Sooke area is lower than the BC average of $32,457 as of 2001. Updates are available at http://ceps.statcan.ca

Currently, the two largest employing industries in Sooke are the service and retail trades. Many residents are commuters to the nearby Esquimalt Navel Base, and Government workers in Victoria.
