Reflexology in Sooke
REFLEXOLOGY is based on the principle that there are reflexes in the hands, feet and ears which correspond to every part, organ and gland of the body. Through application of pressures on these reflexes, Reflexology helps to relieve tension, improve circulation and balance the body's energy.

BENEFITS:
* release of tension and create a general feeling of ease;
* stimulates the circulation of blood and lymph fluids
* helpful with inflammatory conditions such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome & Plantar Fasciitis
* stimulates the digestive system, promotes proper elimination
* helps to slow the degenerative process of peripheral neuropathy common with diabetes
* helpful with arthritis, Reflexology is listed as supportive in the American Arthritis Foundation's Alternative Treatment's Guide
*complements other treatments and methods of healing.

My time with Marlene treating my feet with more TLC than even I can give them, is the best ever. She gives me the heads-up to give the rest of my body the care it needs!

I really look forward to my reflexology appointments. I find it very relaxing. It has really helped with both my rotator cuff injury and my plantar fasciitis. I have had my hands done this time, too – it was great!!

EAR CANDLING

Ear Candling is a gentle, non-invasive alternative to the method of flushing the ear canal with warm water.

BENEFITS:

  • believed to balance the pressure between the 3 chambers of the ear and the sinuses
  • helpful when done prior to flying for people who have trouble equalizing ear pressure at high altitudes
  • helps to clear sinus congestion, pressure headaches, swimmers ear, ear infections, & impacted ear wax
  • may ease seasonal allergy symptoms

Ear Candling is a gentle, non-invasive alternative to the method of flushing the ear canal with warm water.

Generally, 2 candles are used in each ear, even when a person has more trouble with one ear. The aim is for balancing. When the far end of the candle is lit it creates a mild suction that sounds similar to the rushing one hears when a seashell is placed against the ear. It is also common to hear a slight crackling. After candling, for the first 24 hours, it is advised to protect the ears from wind, cold, excessive amounts of water and air travel.
It is important to discuss ear candling with your health care practitioner. Candling should not be done on anyone who has a perforated ear drum or who has had recent ear surgery!
