Beluga whale blowing bubbles!
This beluga whale at the Vancouver Aquarium was seen blowing bubbles- it was having a lot of fun, just showing off. The underwater viewing area was ideal to see it swimming around, blowing the bubble, chasing it, inhaling it and blowing it again!

The Beluga would go to the surface, grab a breath of air and puff out an air ring.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The beluga whale is a relatively small, toothed whale with one blowhole. They are white as an adult.(Beluga means "white one" in Russian. ). Its genus, Delphinapterus, means "whale without fins", and the species, leucas, means white.

VOCALIZATION
Belugas have been called "sea canaries" because of their songs and chatter, which can even be heard above the water. Belugas use echolocation to locate their bottom-dwelling prey and to communicate with other belugas. Belugas produce many different sounds, ranging from clicks, squeals and whistles. The bubble blowing seems to be just for fun!
