Our Catering Policies
- Guaranteed number of guests required 72+ hours in advance.
- We require a deposit of $150.00 at time of booking.
- The balance is due on the day of the function.
- We will be glad to clean up for you.
Our fee is $15.00 per person per hour.

The History of Picnics
The Victorians loved a lavish picnic and thought nothing
of toting a huge groaning hamper containing everything from whole
joints of roasted meats, dressed crab and lobster, and salads
to savories, elaborate puddings, and festive cakes. After the
last of the obligatory cucumber sandwiches, they would enjoy a
robust game of cricket or croquet for the women and children while
the men folk dozed in the warmth of the afternoon sun.
In recent years there has been a revival and today picnics
are being appreciated more and more as a wonderful way of combining
social entertainment with country side enjoyment. And there is
no better country side to enjoy than Sooke's own backyard.
How to Plan Your Picnic
A good idea is to bring plenty of cushions and a pretty picnic
rug. Make sure to put a couple of garbage bags under the rug
to keep out the damp and then use the bags for taking away your
litter when the picnic is over. Always take care to leave the
picnic area in pristine condition. Make fires in designated areas
only and most of all, sit back and enjoy the delicious food, good
company, and wonderful scenery of the Sooke region.
