Canada Day 2002 was a time when people of Canada and America can joined in mutual patriotic support.

Six girls from the Lemoore Independent Flag Ensemble
from Lemoore, California participated in the events of Canada Day 2002.

The Lemoore group have performed in at least 15 parades a year since its inception in 1996. They have traveled to New Mexico, Colorado and throughout California, and this was their first visit to Canada. According to Chet Norris, "flagboss" and director of the group, the girls aged 8 to 18 train hard all year to perform their routines.
